Decent audio that won't break the bank. I don't know why it is so hard to find a reasonably priced stereo receiver but after searching high and low for something to replace my Carvin TM 35 amp and preamp I settled on the Onkyo TX-8555. Great receiver for the money. I bought this for my office. Like It Hate It. My main reason for purchsing the Onkyo TX 8255 April 2008) was to hook up a TEAC CD recorder I purchased earlier. Great value for less money. I reviewed many stereo receivers for my home which has pre-wired speakers in 4 rooms. Awesome receiver. This is a fantastic receiver. Enough Power. Enough power to rock any house. Superb. I purchased this amplifier recently. Had it one week and it quit. We bought this receiver and within a week we had problems with it. Where's the great sound. I have owned a Kenwood Integrated Amp KA-58 for 20 yrs when I started having trouble with it. Love it! Have had the receiver for a few weeks now and just love it. Pleasing sound. A very nice unit. Slightly disappointing. My trusty 23 year old TX-108 model finally quit and I was so happy with it that I bought another Onkyo. Stereo receiver. I was worried this receiver wouldn't have enough power to run my Dan Queen speakers which are power hogs . Onkyo TX-8555. I'm pleased with the product and the supplier. Great! Affordable and really good. I have had my unit since Jan. Tech Support ? If you plan to buy an Onkyo product don't count on tech support of help. First Time Onkyo Owner. Works terrific. Junk. It broke down within six months and I've been without tunes for a month having to send it to a autorized repair center. Piece of junk. Horrible tech support, cheap construction. Great old-school home theater/stereo receiver. The most important fact I can give here is that our other Onkyo 2-channel receivers have lasted a long time. Great bang for the buck!
