No regrets. I spent alot of time doing research. Superior Sound. This Onkyo TX-SR705 with 7. High Quality Receiver. Got Onlyo 705 to complement my Sony XBR4 LCD TV, and Polk Speaker System. Onkyo TX-SR705. After doing a a considerable amount of research and reading several reviews I decided on the Onkyo over the Denon in the mid price range of receivers to replace my 8 yr old Sony. Incredible featureset for the price. After much review of the market, the 705 stood out above anything else. Onkyo TX-SR705. This receiver has many user-friendly features allowing me to connect many components to my High Definition Television via just one HDMI cable. A lot of Power & Functions for a low price. After a considerable amount of research and investigating several different Home Theater options such as HTIB, Bose 321, and high end and low end component solutions, I finally stumbled across the HDMI Onkyo Home Theatre line. Great Buy. Amazon offered the best price and delivery was prompt. SR705: Excellent sound, flexibility and price! After some good research and comparison, I recently bought this model, and have been using it extensively. The unreliable quality and the worst customer service ever!!! We bought an Onkyo receiver 705 from Amazon about a year ago.
GREAT Receiver to have!! I've owned this receiver for about 4 weeks now and couldn't be happier. Huuuum noise. I have a TX-SR705 with the terrible HUMMM problem. Onkyo TX-SR705. For my second media room I selected step down verson of Onkyo and I am not disappointed. Gotta have * 3 * HDMI 1.3 inputs I've had this AV Receiver for 2 weeks now. Solid product, a couple of limitations. This is a very solid AV receiver, with great sound, good front panel and remote controls, some nice touches and a couple of less-than-fatal flaws. Incredible! UPDATE: SENT IT BACK. Dollar value + HAVE ONLY HAD THIS UNIT FOR 30 DAYS AND IT IS VERY SATISFACTORY AND SEEMS TO BE THE BEST $ VALUE. Nice Receiver, But Customer Service Needs Big Improvement. I have purchased quite a few Onkyo receivers over the years, and have always been happy.
Onkyo TX-SR705 This a great reciever. Great Sound and Power. I was searching for a reciever to replace my old Harman Kardon AVR 520. Best up grade for the $$$ I just up graded from a Onkyo 575 and I must say that I was shocked at the sound quality and performance of my new receiver! Works as advertised. My last receiver was a Yamaha DSP A1 and that was quite some time ago. Not good for jamming. Liked the receiver. Onkyo TX-SR705 is a Very Good Receiver. I have been using this Onkyo TX-SR705 for about 2 weeks. Onkyo For Your Ponkyo. Ponkyo isn't a real word, but it does rhyme. Another Consumer grade product. It is hard to rate products like this. Husband Pleaser. My husband goes thru great lengths of internet research when he really is interested in a product. Best Value, period. I went through SR605, SR705 and Yamaha RX-V1800.
Excellent Product, Confusing Setup. The receiver has excellent features but is difficult to set up and configure. Awsome receiver. Best money I ever spent. Poor quality control. My Onkyo 705 arrived quickly, but two of the three hdmi inputs would not work (all of my components worked fine when I switched them to the working input). Onkyo does it again. Another winner from Onkyo. Onkyo TX-SR705. Love this receiver for the money. HUM appears a few months after purchase. Now, the SR705 is a beautiful receiver. Everytime I check the price changed - Now it's crazy. By no means is this a high-end receiver but it is an excellent mid-range product. Sweet sound. There is enough power to spare with this unit. After further review............... I replaced a Yamaha HTR-5850 with this receiver. It's awesome if you don't know how to read... What a great device.
Great sound! Not easy to use. I was a little bit concerned about buying this receiver because of the burnig and heating problems. Fantastic Value. The sound the Onkyo TX-SR705 produces is fantastic. Excellent. no long technical review- just plain, pure and simple adjective of EXCELLENT. Great sound, very complex, Second Zone IR Remote issue. Spent 8 hours setting this up this weekend. WOW. Onkyo 705 was chosen over the 605 with a far superior learning universal remote as well as the extra hdmi ports. Confusing, but great! I'll start by saying this is an awesome receiver. HDMI Hum. Great Receiver if You're Looking to Upgrade! The Onkyo TX-SR705 is a great replacement for my older 5. Onkyo TX-SR705 7.1 Channel Home Theater Receiver. In years past (before retirement) I used to spend thousands on high end "surround sound" receivers. Oustanding! Very Happy with purchase. I am very pleased with the Onkyo TX-SR705. Feature rich but Audyssey limits volume. At this price point, this is a very feature rich AVR. Great receiver. I got this receiver to work with the Samsung Plasma TV I bought here as well. Zone 2 ONLY PLAYS analog input. I totally agree with all previous reviews but I want to add one detail that totally boggles my mind. Nice home theater receiver. This receiver has decent power, tons of inputs, and proper HDMI switching. Well worth the price. This receiver has the features,that any DIYer would need to comppleate a quality home cinema install without breaking the bank or compremizing sound quality. Great! A great AV Receiver. Lovin' every minute of it! This receiver has worked perfectly for me. Good Receiver but tough to setup. - I had this receiver for more then 2 weeks now. So far so good! I picked up this Onkyo 705 to replace an Onkyo 601 receiver and so far so good. Great surround receiver. I have had no problems with my new receiver. Baby boomer choice. If you're 50plus and still have speakers that you don't want to part with, consider this Onkyo TX-SR705. Outstanding performance for a great price! Almost a 5 star. This reciever is great with my Harman Kardon HKTS-18 7. High End Receiver for amazing price! My old Onkyo receiver from the 80's worked great for many years. Not enough video inputs. I have had this unit for about 2 months now. HUM in power supply. I've loved this Reciever, till about a month ago a low 60hz HUM appeared. Review. Product arrived on time. Tremendous Product. Incredible amplifier/receiver for the price. Awesome receiver, best bang for the buck! I did a lot of research before buying the Onkyo. Great for the money. For the money very good deal. Another awsome reciever from onkyo!! owning a ps3 and hddvd player i decided to upgrade my reciever to one that will support the new hd sounds with hdmi 1. What More Could I Want? I have been into home theater for well over 5 years, but this receiver, my first Onkyo product, has pulled everything together for the first time. Pain to set up -- very poor user manual. This is my second surround receiver, so it should be straightforward to set up. Great amp. This is the best sounding, with the most features for the money that one can buy! Almost perfect. Great receiver! Highly Recommend. This home theater system is amazing. Easy setup, problem free unit. This unit was easy to setup for me. Good and fast but forgot name on address bill. good and fast but forgot my name on the address bill. Does everything I ask of it very well! I have the SR705S set up with all HDMI inputs being used. Compatibility with Samsung DVD VR375. This player has a lot of bells and whistles and haven't had the time to really learn about all it can do. Onkyo Always The Best. Just got the Onkyo TX-SR803B for Christmas and due to price of the TX-SR705, I could not pass it up for my bedroom. ONKYO TX-SR705. Man-alive! Sound is good but... I would have given this unit a 4. 3 HDMI inputs. When this reciever is released it will be the cheepest A/V receiver on the market with 3 switchable HDMI ports. COOLING FAN LOUD. Amplifier does what it claims except I don't notice any upgrade of standard DVDs. So far so good. So far I have been quite pleased with this unit. Great receiver. Huge bang for the buck! I bought this together with a Samsung 61" LED rear projection HDTV - after some trial and error with the setup, I am now getting amazing sound quality out of my Ps3 for both DVDs and games. Where do I start? Whew! Ready for the future. Read the reviews for all the Onkyo systems and believe what you read as this is nice for a mid priced unit that I hope will give me options for the future as this is very versatile. The HDMI inputs failed after 10 months. I got this receiver in Sept 07 and here it is July 4 and I have problems. Sounds Great. This receiver sounds great, and the automatic setup was easy to do (though it takes a little time), and worked well. Excellent Receiver for the Price. Well I've owned this receiver for about a month now so I think I can give it a fair review. Great Product. Great receiver.
