Maybe the best 3G case yet? Just got this case in from Amazon and going to cautiously give it 4 stars. Starts out good, but problematic screen protector and loosening leather. I purchased this case the same day I got my iPhone in 2008. Worst feature? The split on the back of the case... Besides the split on the back of this case where the two pieces meet, this case is nice. Great case, intelligent design, questionable choice of materials. I had this case for a few weeks before returning it. Ok, until it broke... I purchased this on the clearance aisle so I didn't expect the thing to last forever. Overall a good case. I picked this case up thinking it would work for my 1G iPhone. Completely scratched the iPhone. I really liked the feel of the case. Nice case - bad adhesive. The case is fine and looks good. Good solid case... First things first. Case prevented phone damage. While this case is not perfect, it passed an important test for me.

Great at first, didn't last long. I got this case about 6 months ago. Best phone case I have owned across all phones. This is by far the best designed and built case I have ever owned for a phone. Very nice but be careful. The case is excellent but when it first arrives it is excessively tight and will scratch the "metallic" bezel of your phone if you aren't careful. Solid case, saved my phone many times. I bought this case in the Apple store when I bought my iPhone 3G in July of 2008. Griffin Elan- great fit, looks. I've had my Elan case for about 9 mos now, and no sign of peeling leather. Don't Buy this case, leather falls off and expect scratches on back of phone. This case is atrocious. Average case... I purchased this case from BBuy and I have had it for almost a year. Not what I was hoping for. I had high hopes for this case. Good for Only 90 Days. This case for the iPhone 3G looks great and feels great in the hand. Great looking, but with poor craftsmanship or materials. I had the Elan Form for my iPod Touch.

Thanks for nothing!!! I spent $34. Ok for a bit. Fits nicely and protects well. Great Case! I've owned this case for over a year now. Great iPhone case!! I am very pleased with my purchase of this iPhone case. Seems good at first... I got this case when I originally bought my iPhone 3G 3 months ago. A good choice After trying the DLO Leather Holster and ending up having to purchase a new iPhone after its complete failure, I was looking for something that offered more protection. Very pleased. I bought this case with my iphone in the ATT store because I had a few friends with it that seemed pleased with it. Case ok, screen protector not so much. I'm probably a nightmare customer for iPhone case manufacturers. Nice feel and looks great. I had a thin plastic covering the back and sides of my iPhone, but it did not fit well and peeled off. I REALLY wish it was better. I really love the clean look of this case.

Good Case. The product is stylish, fits the phone well, and hasn't shown any sign of wearing and peeling out so far as others might've mentioned. Decently protected from Clumzilla. I had bought this case the day I bought my phone. Almost Perfect Case. **UPDATE**After about three months with this case, the leather on the back has begun to peal off. After 4 months it breaks down. Similar to other commenters, I loved this case. LOVE this case! I am on the 2nd one of these cases. Good case but does need to be periodically replaced. I like the Griffin Elan case, I have also had the Pink Leather/Brown Molding version. Excellent case. I love this case. Did not seem like a new item. The product did not come in original packaging. Great but not durable. The rubberized leather started to peel off the corner and any dirt that gets inside scratches the back. Slim case and I love the screen protector. 8 months and no problem with the leather.
