Thank you for the opportunity to rate this product. I have found this product very dissappointing! NOT REALLY WORTH IT. It works, but its draw back is that it turns it self off if the person on the other line pauses for more than 5 seconds. It works but not very well. It amplifies and is simple to use but it picks up noise from everywhere. Plantronics Headset Amplifier. I have impaired hearing and use hearing aids. Would be 5 stars except..... Like others have said, it doesn't have a manual on/off. Great idea poorly executed. Overall packaging and funtion good but the automatic on/off function does function effectively. The only product out there. Looked to be the only thing out there that will amplify a cell phone while you are driving and does just that. Good in-line amp for cordless phone. This product works well. Very displeased. The battery saver which turns this off makes this very unacceptable. Batteries expire almost immediately. Because the product is touted as being "voice activated", I assumed that meant it would drain the batteries only when actually being used.
Penny wise but pound foolish. There is NO On/Off switch ! You will hear them loud and clear... I've had one of these headset amplifiers for over a year now. It works but could be a lot better. Bad fit on ear piece. When it works - it works great!!! The MHA100 is small, compact and easy to use. Good Product. I use this product to amplify my phone when I am riding my motorcycle. Plantronics outsourced a good idea into a bad product. A 2. Loud but irritating. It does a great job of amplifying two-way conversations. Impractical. An amplifier for cell and cordless phones is a great concept for noisy environments and for those hard of hearing, but due to the power conservation design of the product, it is impractical for use. Very Good This little jewel is great if you have a headset/phone that isn't loud enough. Thoughts. This product does work as advertised, and will increase the volume of a call a good bit.
One fatal flaw. This product is good in every way except for one fatal flaw. Plantronics Mobile Headset MHA-100. I am currently using the third MHA100 from Plantronics. Silence-Deactivated, not Voice-Activated... The high points:* Small* Has a clip on it (I clip it onto the handset)* Battery life seems great (haven't changed it yet)The low, low, low point:* Cuts out when there is a lull in the converation, during hold music, etc. Simple and just as advertised. I'm a guy on the phone all day and I purchased this because in the summers there is a cooling unit running that is so loud I can't quite hear phone conversations. OK but has issues. The amplifier definitely works well to amplify the incoming callers voice - however the the caller hears a very bad echo repeating back what they said -- have had to switch it off to hold a conversation. Plantronics MHA100 Headset Amplifier. Used with Plantronics M214C Headset and cordless phone. Basic amplifier. This is a basic amplifier. Works but with flaws. This handset amplifier works fairly well, but has two serious flaws that can sometimes make it difficult to use. I can hear. My hearing aids do not work with my phone. Works fine for me. Great item.
Headset Amplifier Works Great! I'm half deaf and this is a plus! It works. I spend a lot of time in phone conferences. I bought it Beacuse It's Really The Only Unit Available. I have had two of these. Bad unit and worse support. I purchased this unit to go with my Panasonic cordless phone. Not totally satisified. I found two problems with this product.
